North Eleuthera Shopping Centre has Re-Opened!
We’re pleased to announce the much-awaited re-opening of the North Eleuthera Shopping Centre in Bluff.
After a tragic fire that destroyed the original North Eleuthera Shopping Centre, both Burchinald (Burchie) and Sophia, have poured their heart and soul into re-opening an exceptional store. And, they have most certainly succeeded.
The brand new structure is large, bright and airy.
The owners have gone out of their way to stock a dizzying array of products, from housewares, to appliances, to bulk and regular grocery items and more.
In addition, there are freezers and coolers filled with a wide selection of meats, seafood, cheeses, juices, yogurts, milk, eggs and more.
But, it doesn’t stop there! The selection of produce and baked goods round out this exceptional store. It most certainly earns the term “shopping centre”.
The staff is friendly and helpful. There are three modern check-outs. They even have special shopping carts the kids can ride in and “drive”.
Stay tuned for weekly specials and the announcement of the “Grand Opening” celebrations.

thank you so much for this newsletter…quite interesting. Shocked by the Abaco story and happy to see the Bluff Grocery store is reopened. As a “non-critical” comment, figuring you want to continue to use your “elusive” brand name, I note my initial interpretation of your newsletter title is negative rather than positive – ie. elusive as in trying to find value….whereas the service this newsletter provides is a super value and not elusive at all. Did you consider “Elusive Eleuthera News” or something to that effect???
Thanks for the input. The reason for the name is because it’s kind of tied to our book The Elusive Beaches of Eleuthera and in keeping with the same theme.
