Fundraiser for H.A.C.E. at the Bistro at Sky Beach Club

A fundraiser for H.A.C.E. (Health Association of Central Eleuthera) Ambulance Fund is being held at the Bistro at Sky Beach Club on Sunday, December 27, 2009 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm
Be sure to attend this Pool Party, Sand Castle Competition and Silent Auction.
Tickets are $30 for adults and $10 for kids and can be purchase online at the Ambulance Fund Website.
The Sky Beach Club is generously donating all food and drinks so all the proceeds from ticket sales and the auction go the H.A.C.E.
For the Sand Castle Competition, the First Prize is $200 and the Second Prize is $100 – the first prize money is being donated by the Pinder Brothers.

South Eleuthera Mission Children’s Christmas Social
The South Eleuthera Mission will be holding a Christmas Social for children between the ages of 6 and 12 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm on Friday, December 18, 2009.
The following activities will take place during the event:
- Arts & Crafts – the children will make Christmas ornaments
- Children will decorate a Christmas tree with the ornaments they make
- Story Time – The Christmas Story (Story of Jesus’ Birth) will be read
- Children will sing Christmas carols
- Children will serve light refreshments
The South Eleuthera Mission is requesting monetary donations between $25.00 and $50.00 towards the art & craft materials, food & drink and small gifts for the children attending this event.

Christmas Events at Haynes Library in Governor’s Harbour
Two Christmas events are scheduled at the Haynes Library this month.
Saturday, December 19, 2009 – Christmas Party for Children.
Tuesday, December 22, 2009 – Christmas Community Coffee Morning – 10am to noon.

Cancer Society Annual Love Lights a Tree Celebration Dec. 5, 2009
The Eleuthera Branch of the Cancer Society is having their Annual Love Lights a Tree Celebration on Saturday, December 5, 2009.
The celebration is at 6:00pm at the Cancer Society Building on Queen’s Highway in Palmetto Point.
Entertainment will include, among others, the Hatchet Bay Dinner Band. There will also be carol singing in celebration of good helath.
Monetary donations in memory of loved ones or friends will help support the fight against cancer.
St. Marks Annual Fair in Hatchet Bay
The annual St Marks Fair in Hatchet Bay will be held at Bay Fest Park on Friday December 4th and Saturday December 5th.
There’ll be lots going on on Saturday from 8am until midnight.

Haynes Library
This Saturday, November 28, 2009, the Friends of the Library present their 14th Annual Arts & Crafts Fair.
The Arts & Crafts Fair is at the Haynes Library from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm.
Eleuthera’s best artists and craftspeople will be showcasing their work along with other distinguished Bahamian artisans.
There will be:
- Handicrafts
- Souvenirs
- Christmas Decorations
- Live Music
- Great Bahamian Food
